Kerbey Lane Cafe debuts new Spring Menu!

Austin’s Favorite Cafe Adds Third

Seasonal Menu for 2016

Kerbey Lane Cafe is a beloved Austin original restaurant that serves fresh food at reasonable prices in a comfortable environment with amazing customer service. Voted Best Breakfast by the Austin Chronicle for more than 20 years, Kerbey Lane is also famous for its queso, $3 wine and beer all day, and special seasonal menus. Kerbey Lane has seven locations, including its newest location in Round Rock.

Kerbey Lane Cafe has added a new seasonal menu to its 2016 repertoire! The Spring Menu debuts Feb. 11 and is available at all seven locations until early May.

Kerbey Lane’s Spring Menu features innovative new recipes, twists on old classics, and of course, Kerbey’s seasonal pancake selection.

“March marks the end of winter (hooray!), and the beginning of spring—even if it doesn’t quite feel it yet,” says Amanda Kuda, director of marketing. “We’re excited to unveil our first-ever seasonal Spring Menu, which offers everything from light fare and tasty bites to big hearty dishes,” Kuda says.

Check out the 12 new dishes from the new Spring Menu to give you a taste of what’s to come. Try making a crowd favorite with:

Small Plates

Pulled Pork Nachos: Start your meal with these tostada-style nachos topped with all-natural pulled pork, aged white cheddar, onions, achiote sauce, and mango pico.

Crab Mac & Cheese Bites: These rich and delicious crab bites are comprised of crab mixed with Kerbey’s delicious Green Chili Mac & Cheese, then rolled in panko breading and deep-fried, with a side of homemade jalapeno remoulade.

Breakfast and Brunch

Crab & Mac Benny: Kerbey turns its delicious Crab Mac & Cheese Bites into a brunch dish by adding poached eggs, hollandaise, and achiote sauce—one unforgettable breakfast Benedict.

Banana Nut Pancakes: These delicious buttermilk pancakes are filled with walnuts and bananas.

Banana Bread French Toast: This classic favorite makes a return! The savory French toast is made with the restaurant’s homemade Banana Walnut Bread.

Banana Nut Bread & Granola Parfait: The Granola Parfait made its debut on Kerbey’s 2015 Great Pumpkin Menu and is back in 2016, now served with homemade Banana Nut Bread.

Granola Quesadilla: The Granola Quesadilla is a Kerbey Seasonal Menu throwback– guests will love the combination of creamy Home Plate Peanut Butter melted with aged white cheddar, organic granola, and bananas. Kerbey takes all those ingredients, grills them in a flour tortilla, and serves it with strawberries and honey.

Lunch and Dinner

Queso Philly: What could possibly make a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich more delicious? Kerbey Queso, of course! This yummy sandwich features grilled steak, red onions, green bell peppers, and Kerbey Queso atop a classic hoagie bun.

Duck & Jalapeno Sausage Gumbo: Appearing on Kerbey’s seasonal menu for the first time is this take on a classic New Orleans gumbo. Kerbey starts with a traditional dark roux and mixes in Pederson’s Jalapeno Sausage and farm-raised duck for a dish that is certain to warm you up on those chilly days.

Greek Lamb Skewers: Fans of Kerbey’s Greek Chicken will also love their Greek Lamb Skewer platter. They skewer and grill all-natural ground lamb and pair it with diced tomatoes, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, hummus, Tabbouleh, Tzatziki sauce, and pita bread for a healthy and light lunch or dinner option.

Pork Loin Sliders: One of Kerbey’s most flavorful variations on the slider, this sweet and spicy version includes all-natural pork loin, buffalo coleslaw, and cranberry habanero jam atop grilled dinner rolls.

Strawberry Fields Salad: Another lighter item on Kerbey’s Spring Menu, this salad starts with fresh baby spinach and is topped with grilled chicken, strawberries, blue cheese, candied walnuts, tomatoes, bacon, and strawberry balsamic vinaigrette.

The Spring Menu will run from February 11 through early May. It is one of three seasonal menus offered by Kerbey Lane Cafe. For more information and to view the full Spring Menu, visit www.kerbeylanecafe.com
